Studio : the tutorial
Studio turns the shots of the shot list into generated videos, edits them on a timeline with voices and music, and exports to the NLE. Here is the walkthrough, step by step.
1. The shots of the sequence
Production menu → Studio. Pick the sequence (shot list) at the top: each shot has a card, with its storyboard frame when there is one. Studio generates videos from these shots, billed to your fal account.
2. Style and mood
Style tab: the project's artistic style and lighting mood, applied to every new shot. A personal preset can be created and reused across projects.
3. Model and settings
Render tab: video generation model, resolution, format, duration, seed, denoising and upscale. The estimated cost per shot shows before you start; prices come from fal.
4. Generate a shot
On a shot card: "Shot settings" for a one-off tweak, start and end images, then "Generate as Draft" (fast, cheap) or "in HD". Shots filter by status; "Select all" launches a batch.
5. Voices, music, sound effects
Audio tab: voices (ElevenLabs, MiniMax), music and sound effects generated with your fal key, lip-sync of a shot to a voice. Ready sounds go onto the timeline.
6. Edit
Timeline tab: generated videos play in sequence; cut, move, set fades and frame rate, drop audio tracks at the playhead, add a placeholder frame for a shot not generated yet.
7. Export
Export tab: video with mixed audio (MP4), video + separate audio tracks, NLE project (EDL, FCPXML, OTIO) or previz PDF. Provider videos expire: "Save to Firebase" keeps them.
